These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Sidecar ("Service"), operated by Sidecar ("we", "our", "us"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Use of the Service

Sidecar is a tool for viewing and presenting Google Slides alongside companion web content. You may use the Service for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

• Use the Service to distribute unlawful, harmful, or infringing content
• Attempt to reverse engineer, circumvent, or exploit any part of the Service
• Use automated means to access the Service at a scale that unreasonably burdens our infrastructure
• Use the Service to process or display content you do not have the right to access

2. Google Account and Permissions

The Service requires a Google account to access Google Slides and Drive. By signing in, you authorize Sidecar to access your Google Drive and Presentations in read-only mode for the purpose of exporting and displaying your slides. You may revoke this authorization at any time via your Google Account settings. Revoking access will prevent the Service from loading your presentations.

3. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you bring into the Service, including your Google Slides presentations and any URLs embedded in speaker notes. Comments you post within the Service are your responsibility. We reserve the right to remove comments that violate these Terms.

4. Intellectual Property

The Sidecar name, logo, and application code are our property. Nothing in these Terms grants you a license to use our trademarks or reproduce the Service's code.

5. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with Google APIs and Ably for realtime features. Your use of these services is also governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or actions of third-party services.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of security vulnerabilities. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (if any).

8. Changes to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
